The High Commission of Sri Lanka in the Maldives has expressed its appreciation to Hon. Qasim Ibrahim, Chairman of Villa Group, for the contribution, which will assist communities affected by loss of life, displacement and damage to homes and essential infrastructure.
The donation was handed over in Malé by Mr Ibrahim Siyad Qasim, Managing Director of Villa Group, to Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to the Maldives, H.E. M. Rizvi Hassen.
Cyclone Dheethuva has brought prolonged heavy rainfall and widespread flooding to several parts of Sri Lanka, leading many families to require immediate support and longer-term assistance. The funds provided by Villa Group are intended to be used as part of broader national and local efforts to respond to these needs.
